Black Heart

Blackness stirs silently in it's cage
Darker than the interstellar void
Sucking the life force from it's victim
As it sadly trudges by an empty heart
A heart once as open as the mind
Slit a little too far open and left for dead
Because matters of the heart speak out
With the supersonic soundscape
Of a nuclear fusion reaction
Unless it is let out of it's prison
And allowed a chance to glow
The colors it used to know so well
